Cycling in Bath

Locally our cycling pride and joy is the Two Tunnels Greenway, part of the Sustrans 2 Route funded by the National Lottery that converted an old railway. Now it’s home to the UK’s longest cycle tunnel, some 1,672 metres. The circular route is 13 miles long and a great day out for families or casual cyclists. You can join the circular from Tucking Mill Lane, a stone’s throw from the doorstep of the Castle grounds.

For more ambitious cyclists, there’s a whole host of cycle network routes to be discovered. You can cycle Bath to Bournemouth, or the Kennet and Avon cycle route parallel to the Great West Way. To discover more cycling routes, visit the Sustrans website here.
